Liquor store set for vinyl flooring

A refurbished liquor store is to have vinyl flooring installed, it has been revealed.

Vergas municipal liquor store in Minnesota is to undergo a $70,000 (£43,400) refurbishment paid for with proceeds from drink sales, of which the new flooring will be one aspect, the Frazee-Vergas Forum reports.

This will involve spending nearly $7,000 on putting vinyl flooring in the cooler and display area and over $1,100 worth of installations of the same material in the entry way.

Further expenditure on flooring will see over $1,000 spent on a new office carpet.

The work, which will begin this month and is expected to be completed in early March, will also include the removal of a dividing wall, new shelving and improved refrigeration.

Another building in the US having vinyl flooring installed is the Geraldine Humphries Library in Liberty, Texas, the Liberty Vindicator reported earlier this week.

The flooring will be situated in an expanded upstairs area that will be mainly used as storage space.
