Manufacturers 'reconsidering' flooring fair participation

Doubts have emerged over the participation of a number of laminate flooring manufacturers in an upcoming trade show.

According to EUWID Wood Products and Panels, some European companies have already decided against appearing at the next Domotex event.

It is due to be held in Hanover from January 16th to 19th 2010, offering firms the opportunity to showcase products and meet potential business partners.

But the news source noted that attendance at the flooring fair could be down, as many manufacturers are yet to commit to a booking.

Some are considering whether or not to appear at all, while others that have already booked are now subjecting their plans to closer scrutiny.

ConstructionWEEK recently observed that sustainable flooring had been one of the key features of the recent Domotex Middle East exhibition.

It also suggested that positive feedback at the event suggested the industry "has retained some level of buoyancy".
