Most unusual floors on the market revealed

The 10 most interesting flooring options available have been compiled in a new list to allow anyone looking for an original flooring product to be inspired.

This list differs from others because it features floors which consumers can really use, rather than ones which are temporary for a publicity stunt, like those made from food products.

A mix of popular and extremely unusual choices makes up the 10 with cork flooring and reclaimed wood featuring.

More unusual choices range from flooring made from peach stones, sea shells and even liquid lava tiles, which morph and transform beneath foot pressure.

Most people will have come across a glass or leather floor before but usually only in magazines of exclusive offices and hotels.

Now these materials are becoming more accessible to homeowners so there is even more choice than ever before for anyone looking for unique flooring.

Obviously these floors each come with individual advantages and drawbacks and many people would choose a mainstream option for the wealth of advice with cleaning and maintenance.

The list has been featured on architecture, design, interiors and lifestyle blog, Feng Swish, and was originally compiled by Erie Construction to demonstrate the huge range of floors on the market.
