New flooring has been installed in a community hall in north London.
The St Helier Hall in Enfield opened its doors after a refurbishment that has been carried out to modernise the community facility and help it offer a range of activities for local residents, the Enfield Independent reports.
New flooring has been added along with a suspended ceiling, refurbished toilets and a kitchen, plus replacement roofing, windows and external cladding.
The new floor will stage pursuits varying from dance classes to karate and the ability of the venue to offer a wide range of things to do was welcomed by cabinet member for housing at Enfield Council Matthew Laban.
He said: "Now it has been refurbished to such a high standard I look forward to seeing many more groups and clubs using its state-of-the-art facilities."
Another enhanced public facility set to need new flooring is Birmingham's forthcoming replacement Central Library.
The £193 million building will replace the existing library.
