New flooring 'may add glamour' to a room

According to the Associated Press, vintage hardwood is among the options that are particularly fashionable at present.
The news source explained that flooring is often ignored, but a change in design can bring glamour to a room.
Homeowners were advised: "The options for fashionable flooring are endless these days and even the most cutting-edge styles don't have to break your budget."
And designer Brian Patrick Flynn recommended the use of laminate flooring, as this captures the look of hardwood but is much easier to install.
Householder Sarah Dowding recently told the Times that she fitted laminate flooring as part of a renovation of her property.
She explained that choosing the material allowed her to carry out the work herself, rather than spending money on hiring a professional for the job.
