New lease of life for damaged wooden floor

Flooring which was previously used in a city gym is being transformed in to a number of tables which can then be bought by the residents who once used the gym.

Wood flooring can be recycled in many different ways for those with the right ideas and the company in charge of the regeneration project had personal reasons for taking on the project.

The small firm is based in the same city as the gym and bought the wooden floorboards back when it was diverted from a landfill.

ReSource, the company which prevented the wood from going to waste, stepped in when the flooring was entirely replaced.

Water damage meant that the boards were deemed beyond repair by the gym’s insurance company when an accident lead to a water leak.

Wool Hat is the family firm giving a new lease of life to the damaged wooden floor, the company makes furniture which is mainly recycled so the city’s gym floor seemed the perfect material.
