A new underfloor heating system has been unveiled by Pergo which is very simple to install as well as a very effective way to keep your home warm.

The new product is designed to be used in place of flooring underlay and will work as a supplementary heat system, helping to prevent floors from being cold underfoot.

Known as ‘quickheat’ this system works with all types of floating flooring, including the full Pergo laminate flooring range.

Advantages of the Pergo system over others include the swift and easy installation method, which will overcome many peoples’ reservations about underfloor heating.

The system comes in a range of mats which are simply rolled out and clicked together before the flooring is installed.

It is then connected to a standard wall socket by a kit which is provided with the product and includes installation tools and a thermostat and safety box.

There is no need to hire an electrician so it is cheaper to install this type of underfloor heating rather than traditional systems.

Pergo regional marketing manager, Kate Male, said: “It also means energy savings; you can normally lower the average room temperature by two to three degrees compared to stand alone heating systems.”

The floors are fully compliant with international safety standards and have built-in heat cables.
