Qatar World Cup provides eco flooring chances
The football world cup is to be held in Qatar in 2022 and DOMOTEX Middle East organisers are hoping that the upcoming exhibition could provide some flooring inspiration.
The project to be completed is huge with new building schemes and renovation work already starting in readiness for the country’s huge event in a little over ten years’ time.
Although all eyes are on the lavish stadiums which are being built flooring insiders have already identified a huge opportunity to supply for one of the massive flooring contracts.
A huge variety of flooring will be required, especially specialist safety floors specifically designed for busy walkways and other areas with high foot traffic to prevent unnecessary accidents.
It is not only the brand new stadiums but many areas which are to be renovated are likely to have new commercial flooring at the top of the list of improvements.
There will also be an enormous number of hotels and restaurants which will be commissioning big improvement projects in preparation for the influx of tourism.
The DOMOTEX Middle East event will be showcasing the latest technological and stylistic advances in flooring for three days in September 2011.
Both this event and the Qatar World Cup are expected to make environmental issues a priority so there could be some cutting edge eco-friendly floors at the flooring expo and the Qatar World Cup.
