Rugs could be ideal for covering up old flooring

Writing for the Globe and Mail, Dee Dee Taylor Hannah explained there are a number of options for homeowners who have moved into a new house and want to change their flooring.
She noted that an area rug can "define the space" in a residence and provide "a blueprint for furniture", which people can then use to choose the rest of the items in a specific room.
In addition, Ms Taylor Hannah, an interior designer and architect from Canada, explained "the real question is how much life is left in the floor", before observing - if the planks are thick enough - individuals may want to sand the boards.
They can then add a black or brown stain or, if they are aiming for something a little lighter, use a bright, high-gloss paint to whitewash the wood, she noted.
