Rugs to be feature of museum day

A museum in the Yorkshire Dales National Park is to hold a day of instruction on how to make rugs.

The Dales Museum in the village of Hawes is to hold a rug making day on September 26th, beginning at 10:00 BST and running through to 17:00 BST.

A live demonstration of the art will be given, with visitors then getting the chance to try a hand at making rugs themselves.

Those trying the art may appreciate the skill level that goes into creating a high-quality rug, particularly if they are thinking of buying a new one for their home.

A wide selection of rugs awaits those looking for one on the UK Flooring Direct Website.

One theme is that of children's rugs made from 100 per cent acrylic pile, which include ladybirds, farm animals, zoos, the seaside and cars, with some of these available with blue backgrounds for boys and pink for girls.
