Store makes new carpet donation
A group of pooches at a home in Bridgend have had their lives made a little comfier with a donation of carpet samples and mats from a local store, it has been reported.

Dogs Trust Bridgend has been given a "huge" donation of the floor coverings from the Cardiff branch of John Lewis, which opened in the city in 2009.

The dogs home serves as a rehoming centre for pets unwanted by there current owners and manager at the trust Beverley Price said that they are "extremely grateful" for the chance to make their animals' lives more comfortable.

"Small things like these are all vital to reduce dogs' stress and crucially, improve their quality of life," she explained.

Last week, more flooring generosity has allowed a flood-hit family to move back into their home, six months after it was devastated by water.

According to the Times and Star, the Wallace family of Barepot, Cumbria, benefited from a new carpet in their home which was donated by a Workington resident.
