Sustainability awards recognise flooring company
A flooring company has been recognised for the work it does in striving for more environmentally friendly flooring options.
The company won five Innovation Awards in total at the IIDEX/NeoCon Canada event last week, which included one gold award.
A new modular carpet tile produced by InterfaceFLOR called Striation won the gold award in a Sustainable Products category.
The carpet is produced with yarn made from fishing nets as well as fibre produced in InterfaceFLOR’s recycling scheme.
Other awards included two silver prizes and two bronze prizes within the modular carpet category which the flooring company dominated.
The awards were presented on the basis of innovative design, construction and sustainability, all of which make the floors popular with consumers.
The judging panel included individuals with experience in design, media and business who selected 50 winners from all of the entries.
