Tali ho for engineered flooring
24th June 2010
Coming in an unusual wood in the form of Tali, the variation of shades, lines and knots is clear as it comes in nature grade material.
The three-strip configuration is made of short staves that overlap each other like bricks in a wall and the Tali layer makes up 3.2 mm of the total 15 mm of width, so it can be sanded up to six times.
Coming in planks of 207 mm width, the product has a 20-year warranty and is coated with a satin lacquer designed to give it an extra light-reflective sheen and make it easier to clean and maintain.
The planking has flat edges rather than bevelled ones to give the floor a smooth look.
Other Florence three-strip engineered wood products include iroko and wenge, as well as a more familiar wood in the form of smoked oak, which is deliberately darkened.
