Vinyl flooring a part of refurbished library

A library is to have vinyl flooring installed while it undergoes a major expansion, it has been revealed.

The material will be put in the new upstairs section of the Geraldine Humphries Library in Liberty, Texas, the Liberty Vindicator reports.

For the next three weeks, the building will be closed as a wall is taken out and the facilities expanded, with room for more storage space and administrative facilities upstairs created where the vinyl flooring will be put in place.

Meanwhile, the downstairs area will have space for more books, computers and other new facilities, as well as a lift, new furnishings and a white-painted ceiling.

The building in its existing form dates from 1970.

Another structure set to have a new vinyl floor installed is Bret Harte Union High School in California, the Union Democrat reported recently.

The floor will be located in a new 7,000 sq ft building to be constructed on the campus.
