A California-based commercial flooring firm has announced that it is expanding its operations, with Arizona and New Mexico among its new target areas.
Design Materials, which is based in Pasadena, has been running since 1980 and has said it will expand its sales in the states, revealing that it has appointed new senior staff to help achieve this.
The move comes after a period of extensive work by the company to get itself in better shape as the US has battled through the recession, with president of the firm Drew Elshoff commenting: "We have worked very hard over the past 18 months to streamline our operations."
Design Materials is also looking to extend its operations into southern California.
The manufacturers that the company sources its vinyl flooring products from are Toli, Knight Quartz, Flexco and polylor.
Other flooring types provided by the company include cork flooring and recycled rubber surfaces.
