Vinyl goes tropical for office floor

An unusual floor design at a Madrid could provide ideal inspiration for anyone looking for a distinctive summer-look with their floor.

A beautiful tropical water scene has been printed and installed as flooring at Estudio Cruz, an advertising agency based in Madrid.

The floor has been made to look like a tropical cove complete with a variety of sea life, plants and shells which make up a stunning, realistic sea-like image.

Estudio Cruz also had glass beads and crystals included in the floor as well as a thin film which was designed to replicate the effect of rippling water.

Although vinyl can get a bad reputation compared to other types of flooring in this case there was only one real option for the floor.

This work of art is the latest example of the flooring sector and the art world combining to create a mesmerising floor which looks great but also works in a practical sense.

Attractive though the floor is it would be somewhat impractical in most homes or offices but vinyl flooring is one of the most practical options for a room.

The options for different prints and effects on vinyl floors are endless, from vibrant colours to neutrals and plain styles, wood effect options and even tiles.
