A Victorian ground floor flat features a wooden floor among its components, it has been reported.

Detailing the features of the residence, which is for sale in the Aigburth district of the city, the Liverpool Echo noted that the reception and dining halls have stripped wood flooring.

Wooden flooring is also present in the master bedroom, the paper added.

Other floors in the flat, which is for sale at £450,000, include ceramic and Romanesque tiles, while the home also includes pierced coved ceilings and bay windows.

It was described as an "eminently desirable property" because it retains so many of its original features from when it was first built over a century ago.

This fact may serve to emphasise that wood flooring is a style that has remained in vogue down through the years.

Maker of wooden floors Oak Floors Online said recently that such surfaces will "always be fashionable".
