Wood flooring works with rug, say experts

- who present TV show Colin & Justin's Home Heist - used the mix to help improve the ambience of one of the bedrooms.
Noting that it had timber floors, the pair set about polishing it and then laid a large rug on top.
This was "precisely the right size and with its perimeter edge wrapping around the room approximately 18 inches from the baseboards", they stated, adding that "it leaves just enough exposed wood to visually layer the floor".
The measure was applied alongside changes to the wall colour, bedding and lighting, while plants were added to make it more attractive.
In related news, wood flooring firm New World Flooring recently revealed it is to open a new factory in Kentucky after being given a tax break from the state's Economic Development Finance Authority.
