Wooden flooring is part of the luxury home that Tesco clothing division boss Sir Terry Leahy is putting up for sale.
The retail chief is looking to sell his home in Highgate, London, which he has carried out a number of renovations on as part of plans to move out to the countryside with girlfriend Julie Ann Parsons, who he intends to marry, the Daily Mail reports.
Part of the changes Sir Terry carried out in the Georgian home involved adding oak flooring to the top two levels of the property.
The home is on the market for £5 million and he said he was looking to carry out a similar project on a new flat in London he would like to buy.
Wooden flooring has been a feature of renovations in both residential and non-residential projects recently.
One case in the latter category is that of Pyrton Village Hall in Oxfordshire, which has such a new floor as part of a £35,000 revamp, the Henley Standard reported earlier this month.
