Details have been announced of a summer meeting of a body concerned with the import and distribution of wooden parquet flooring.
The Global Flooring Alliance/Euparal summer meeting is to be hosted by Glasgow firm McKay Flooring.
Aims of Eurapal - which was formed in 1989 - include "to promote [the use of] wooden flooring in general" and "to inform each other with the exchange of product, market and technical information".
It also aims to have two meetings per year in countries from which its membership is drawn to discuss a variety of issues and developments in the industry.
No date for the event was stated in the announcement.
One aspect of wooden flooring that does not appear to have changed is the fashion for oak flooring.
Earlier this month, Oak Floors Online said that the material is one that never falls out of favour.
It commented that this was the case "no matter how often design trends come and go".
