Pergo is one of UK Flooring Direct’s suppliers of laminate flooring, specialising in thicker laminate floors measuring between 8 mm and 11 mm.
In 1977 Pergo actually invented laminate flooring and after rigorous testing this went on sale in 1979. The company celebrated 30 years of successful sales in 2009 so you can be sure that these are floors produced by a company that can be relied upon.
The company is a market leader in the European and American markets and it is also an environmentally friendly company. Every part of the production process takes environmental issues in to account and recycling is a key part of this.
It has a range of well over 100 products, which provide plenty of choice of design, based around various woods, slate and other materials, with different shades and colours to suit all kinds of tastes and blend with the various decors in the surrounding room.
Pergo Laminate Flooring
What is common to all of these tough, long-lasting laminate products is a lifetime warranty, ensuring that those who buy them can have peace of mind that they will enjoy a strong floor that withstands almost anything that can be thrown at it or dropped on it.
The AC5 grading marks this out as the toughest kind of laminate. As well as being ideal for busy rooms in the home, they are perfect for public buildings or shops with high amounts of foot traffic.
Another feature of all of the Pergo laminate flooring products is that they are assembled using the SmartLock Click-System. Most of the floors have planking that is flat-edged, so they fit together almost seamlessly to create a smooth surface.
However some of the products in this range have bevelled edges, which provide a distinctive and unique element in a room.
Non-wood laminate flooring in the range includes yellow travertine, black slate, beige slate, desert concrete, graphite grey and clotto clay versions. Pergo also produce a wide range of tile effect laminate flooring as a cheaper alternative to tiles.
A number of wood versions are also available, including unusual designs like the Grey Zebrano variety, which comes with a striped gray and pale wood pattern. While oak is the most common wood, there are also products available based on cherry, hickory, elm, beech, acacia, pine and chestnut.
Pergo Oak Laminate Flooring
A large number of Pergo’s products are oak effect, making the manufacturer a good choice for those who desire the appearance of an oak floor, but a more practical and cheaper option.
The Pergo oak laminate flooring range includes very light coloured shades and very dark ones. In the latter case, this includes products such as Thermotreated Oak, Black Oak and Commercial Carbonised Oak.
In addition to this, there is a selection of different colours from white to various shades of brown, including golden brown, chocolate brown and red-brown shades.
As with the other products in the Pergo flooring range, the laminate is AC5 grade - the toughest available - and comes with a Smartlock Click-system assembly.
White Oak Laminate Flooring
Anyone looking for white oak laminate flooring will find that Pergo white oak laminate flooring has several fantastic options. There are four products to choose from and although two of these are not actually white they are very pale. The Basic White Oak is a very pale brown with a hint of pink, while the Original White Oak is paler still.
Distressed White Oak laminate flooring is available in two forms, with these having plank widths of 144 mm and 198 mm respectively.
All of these white oak products come with squared edges that give a smooth appearance and are AC5 grade strength, which is the hardest laminate available and made for the greatest volume of foot traffic.
