When you’re searching for your new luxury vinyl flooring, there are two installation methods you can choose from – click and glue down. Whilst both domestic options are 100% waterproof, there are several factors that set them apart.
Let’s start with click vinyl, the more DIY-friendly option of the two, as installation requires little tools, little experience, and no adhesive. Compared with glue down vinyl that calls for a professional or a keen DIYer with experience using adhesive to fit. Sitting within our click range is our selection of rigid core vinyl which boasts all of the same benefits as traditional LVT, plus more finish choices from marvellous marble to splendid stone, a tough 70% limestone core to enhance durability, as well as being ready to install quickly with its rapid acclimatisation period. Suitable for sunny spaces, it can comfortably withstand surface temperatures of up to 60°C, and keeping you warm from your head to your toes, it’s also suitable for installation over underfloor heating up to 27°C – super toasty!
If you’re after comfort underfoot, go for click vinyl, as it’s thicker and can be fitted over underlay. If you’re looking for a more durable, thinner option, then glue vinyl will be the one for you – especially for larger rooms. Both are available in a range of wood effect styles, making for a great choice in areas traditionally off-limits to this look.
