Paid Search Optimisation Manager

Role summary: We are looking for an individual to own our paid search campaigns as UK Flooring Directs Paid Search (PPC) Optimisation Manager, reporting into the Head of Search. You must be a Paid Search expert who thrives in the detail of data and campaign strategy.

You will drive the construction, development, and deployment of effective campaigns to drive traffic and conversions through all customer channels to all customer segments.

You will be tasked with supercharging our ROAS through continual management and optimsation whilst reporting performance daily, weekly and monthly.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing and implementing successful search engine paid campaigns using PPC and PLA activity to maximise the delivery of high-quality site traffic.
  • Working effectively to agreed benchmarks & KPIs and CPA’s to ensure that all activity has positive ROI & ROAS.
  • Produce clear daily/weekly/monthly reports using data/visuals to provide compelling insights and action orientated recommendations. Activate daily maintenance and monitoring of campaigns to improve overall account performance.
  • Liaising with the content/ecommerce team to optimise landing pages for optimum quality scores and onsite performance optimisation.
  • Competitor research to develop detailed analysis of market share and help devise tactical bidding responses accordingly.
  • Deliver insights using Google Analytics and detailed reports from a variety of data sources to build business cases and change programs and turn data into actions.
  • Conducting experiments to produce data driven results with the goal to improve CPA’s.
  • Reporting & optimisation will be critical to this role – to ensure ongoing improvement across all marketing campaigns and processes. ROI must be foremost in your thinking to drive and maximize returns from all activity.
  • Produce and deliver forecast plans by campaign on an annual basis across your channels and deliver the commercial targets. You must have the ability to implement those plans operationally.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A minimum of 3 – 5 years’ solid paid search experience in Google Ads/Bing Ads PPC.
  • Previous background of working with significant paid search budgets and have clear forecast and budget responsibility.
  • Working with our operations, brand, product, and digital team to devise copy and innovative marketing campaigns in line with the overall marketing efforts and develop the brand and its core values.
  • We measure conversion at 2 levels income generation and sample conversion, and you will need to clearly understand the relationship of both in all or our advertising activity. It is important to have a clear understanding of attribution and the impact the different interactions have on the final conversion.
  • Excellent project management skills coupled with a teamwork focus to support colleagues within UK Flooring Direct (i.e. Digital team, product marketing, sales team, developers) to ensure the smooth running of all elements of the site and our marketing effort. Key relationship holder with suppliers and agencies.

Paid Social & Display Manager

Role summary: We’re looking for an individual to own our paid social and display campaigns, reporting into the Head of Search & Affiliates. You must be a social and display expert who thrives in the detail of data, has a creative eye, and can drive the overall social and display strategy to further leverage the performance of the business. You will be motivated by data, focusing on strong performance and outperforming KPIs and help the business develop long term testing plans and frameworks through business cases and concepts to help drive best in class channels and commercial performance.

You will work with the in-house team and third-party agencies to drive the construction, development, and deployment of highly effective campaigns.

You will be a highly organised and analytical individual, committed to quality work and attention to detail, and be passionate about the huge impact that social and display campaigns can generate. You will have a creative eye and be able to work with creative teams to create high-performing assets.

Key responsibilities:

  • Defining and delivering the channel strategies, with a view to efficiently scaling Display and Paid Social for both our B2C and B2B routes to market.
  • Working effectively to agreed benchmarks & KPIs and CPA’s to ensure that all activity has positive ROI & ROAS.
  • Produce clear daily/weekly/monthly reports using data/visuals to provide compelling insights and action orientated recommendations. Activate daily maintenance and monitoring of campaigns to improve overall account performance.
  • Define audience segments for impactful campaign and creative targeting.
  • Testing and learning from audiences, ad sets and formats, campaign structures and creative. This will be a continuous cycle or roadmap testing.
  • Managing and defining campaign activity targeting all parts of the customer journey – e.g. Prospecting new customers, remarketing to website visitors and re-engaging with previous customers.
  • Experience working with an agency but with a hands-on account approach, articulate and brief the campaign strategies to the internal team and agency partners. Ensure alignment on the goals and provide guidance throughout the planning process.
  • Strong budget management capabilities, ensuring social and display channels remain within budget and hit performance targets.
  • Working with the Creative team to ensure assets are highly optimised for relevant channels.
  • Key relationship holder with suppliers and agencies.
  • Working alongside other departments to identify areas for collaboration and a joined-up communication approach.
  • Improving understanding of Display and Paid Social within the business and being the go-to subject matter expert for key stakeholders.
  • Competitor research to develop detailed analysis of market and competitor activity.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A minimum experience of 3 – 5 years paid social and display activity.
  • A real subject matter expert with comprehensive knowledge of both Display and Paid Social, associated tools and technologies.
  • Previous background of working with significant paid social and display budgets.
  • Highly motivated, confident, professional, ambitious and a positive attitude.
  • Strong analytical, presenting and reporting skills.
  • Have a strong track record of building strong relationships with other departments to devise innovative marketing campaigns in line with the overall marketing efforts and develop the brand and its core values.
  • Have a clear understanding of attribution and the impact the different interactions have on the final conversion.
  • Excellent project management skills.
