How to acclimatise rigid core vinyl flooring

Acclimatisation is the process of familiarising your flooring to its new environment. It's a very easy step in the process of getting a new floor in your home and involves leaving your floor in its original packaging at room temperature for a certain period – this differs between flooring types.

Acclimatising rigid core vinyl is extremely rapid, requiring a maximum of just 12 hours. In fact, it only needs acclimatising if the floor has been stored in extreme temperatures (below 10°C and over 40°C).
