I use scotia only when I have to as I’m a carpenter I always look to remove & then replace the skirting as I feel it’s a much better finish, but if you have to use a scotia as it’s solid oak it does still give a great finish

Fortunately I had too much as machining of this profile was poor at ends. In fact the uniformity wasn't good along the whole length in both lengths I purchased.
