Cork Flooring
If you're looking for warm, natural beauty with the comfort of a cushioned surface, check out our cork flooring. This unique organic material is filled with tiny air pockets, creating a soft, springy surface that's a joy to walk on.
Those same pockets also make it an incredible insulator, keeping your rooms warm and containing sound to help create a quieter, calmer home. It's a strong choice for bedroom floors and living spaces.
Best of all, you can enjoy all of these comforts without guilt, as cork is one of the most eco-friendly flooring options. It's extracted from trees without cutting them down, and it naturally grows back.

What is Cork Flooring?
Cork comes from the cork oak trees of Southwest Europe, but unlike other woods it is harvested from the bark of the tree. It can be taken without destroying the tree and quickly grows back, making cork a renewable material.
With sustainable homes on the rise, cork flooring has become more popular, but not just because it's renewable. It's unique structure results in noticeably quieter rooms, holds heat well and delivers unparalleled comfort underfoot.
Cork also has an attractive natural look, and when finished with high-quality polyurethane, it's easy to clean and resists scratches well.
Choosing Cork Flooring
Cork flooring offers many design choices, starting with tiles and planks. Planks are often engineered and come with a straightforward click installation system, while tiles contain solid cork. This is usually glued down for greater stability.
Many people like the natural tone of cork, which is warm and wood-like. However, stained and coloured options are also available, giving you the flexibility to use cork with a range of different styles.
You'll also be able to choose between thicker and thinner boards. Thicker boards provide better insulation and the best underfoot comfort, but thinner options are more affordable.
While cork can be sealed to provide some moisture protection, it's better suited for dry, quiet environments like living rooms, bedrooms or home offices.
Installation & Maintenance
Regardless of whether you're gluing your cork floor down or clicking it into place, subfloor preparation is essential. The subfloor should be even, dry and free from grit and debris.
Cork expands in response to heat and humidity, so leave a small expansion gap around the edge of the room. Otherwise, the cork will expand upwards, resulting in an uneven surface.
Cork is fairly easy to clean and maintain. It can be cleaned like most other floors, but you should choose gentle cleaners and avoid soaking the surface. Occasional resealing can help protect and preserve it for longer.
