Warehouse Stock & Admin Controller

Hinckley, Leicestershire

Role summary: We are currently seeking an experienced Stock Controller to help drive stock efficiencies. You will be able to help to work in conjunction with our Warehouse and Supply Chain team to ensure we maximise the availability of key products within our business across our two warehouses. Communication and collaboration are critical within this role so being able to demonstrate this is key.

Key deliverables:

  • Liaise with supply chain team to ensure warehouse stock levels are optimum to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS).
  • Manage replenishment activity to maximise pick efficiencies.
  • Ability to generate and analyse data to support continuous improvement within the department.
  • Control inter-site stock transfers process, highlighting any risk to stock availability to relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee stock in situ and coordinate regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
  • Liaise with warehouse teams and other internal teams to test products’ quality (status upon delivery and storage conditions).
  • Keep updated inventory records (including daily shipments).
  • Engage with the key internal stakeholders including sales, operations, and customer services to ensure customer expectations are maximised.
  • Manage and monitor stock as required within guidelines to achieve business KPI’s.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Organisation skills and the ability to work towards deadlines.
  • A team player mindset but ability to work without supervision.
  • A positive attitude.
  • Computer skills and good experience on all Microsoft programs.
  • Good product knowledge of UK Flooring Direct stock.

Warehouse Operative

Hinckley, Leicestershire / Coventry, Warwickshire

Role summary: As part of your role as Warehouse Operative you may be asked to deliver all or some of these tasks as part of the Warehouse function as per requirements of your line manager, to meet all department objectives in relation to personal, and team targets, KPI’s and customer satisfaction, or any other reasonable tasks/duties as required.

Additionally, you will be requested (by prior arrangement) to take part in any relevant training programs, reviews, supervisions & appraisals to increase and maintain your performance.

Key deliverables:

  • Work with the Warehouse and Operational department to maximise workflow efficiencies.
  • Ensure all outbound freight is picked & quality control checked as per processes.
  • To ensure visiting customers receive a high-quality service in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all inbound freight, including customer returns are received in accordance with processes.
  • To assist with regular stock checks, both “spot checks” and full stock audits, keeping stock control systems up to date.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • To maintain high levels of Health and Safety standards including keeping the work area clean and tidy.
  • To communicate effectively between both work colleagues and line manager.
  • Maintenance of machinery and equipment including pre-use checks.
  • To highlight any issues to your line manager.
  • Duties involve regular, repetitive, light, medium and heavy lifting.
  • Team player but able to work without supervision.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Good product knowledge of UKFD stock.

Health & Safety Facilities Manager

Role summary: We are currently seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Facilities Manager to support the business, drive a safety culture and manage facilities on our 2 operational sites. Communication and collaboration are critical within this role so being able to demonstrate this is key.

Key deliverables:

  • To provide support and guidance to ensure a safe and suitable working environment which is compliant with current health and safety legislation.
  • To drive and embed a positive safety culture and best practice at all levels of the organisation which deliver a healthy and safe working environment.
  • To define and implement appropriate procedures and working practices that ensure the business meets its legal & regulatory requirements for all buildings, equipment, tooling, and utilities supplies.
  • To maintain all company buildings and facilities in good working order.
  • To liaise with appropriate departments to set up timely and best value support from external service providers.
  • To work with the Security Controller to monitor and maintain the security of all company sites (physical).
  • To measure and report on appropriate security and facilities aspects to Senior Management in health & safety.
  • Define and implement a business wide health & safety strategy which ensures full compliance with current health & safety legislation.
  • Promote health & safety best practices to encourage continual improvement and reporting / action of 'near miss’ situations.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Extensive experience maintaining and managing health & safety within the workplace.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain health and safety processes throughout the business when needed.
  • Have a proactive attitude and have excellent organisation skills.
  • Be a competent computer user with good IT skills.
  • A team player with a collaborative approach.
  • A driving licence - essential for this role as it involves travelling between sites.
